[ Requirements ]
Our programs are offered to students aging from 7 to 13 years of age. Each family must complete an enhanced family and student screening process, a comprehensive registration application, and a liability waiver prior. We welcome all learning styles and skill levels. All we ask is for the students to bring a responsible, respectful, and resilient attitude.
[ Program Duration ]
Our Spring and Fall semester co-op programs will range from 12 weeks to 18 weeks during operational dates of Walton County’s school semester schedule. Our summer surf camp program will be throughout the month of June.
[ Drop-Off & Pick-Up ]
Student drop-off times are from 9:15-9:30 AM at the designated location directed by the Academy Director. Pick-up times are from 2:00 - 2:15 PM at the same location directed. If there are any delays for either drop-off or pick-up, please contact Kyle, Academy Director. No student will ever be left behind or unattended, whatsoever.
[ Zero-Tolerance ]
We have a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding bullying, disrespect, and harmful speech that will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Violations of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the program, as we have a one strike basis if the case is deemed worthy of by the Academy Director. Decisions will be made at the discretion of the Academy Director and/or other instructors to ensure fairness and consistency. Parents will be notified immediately of any and all complaints from other students and/or staff members. In part of any case of a student’s dismissal, the parent(s) will be notified promptly, informed of the information and case taken place, and a refund of any future classes remaining in the program registered for that the student will now be absent from.
[ Location ]
Our program courses are held within the Santa Rosa Beach, FL, region either within one of the great state parks in the area or in the Point Washington State Forest.
[ Our Team Members ]
All of our team members are certified EMS (EMR/EMT/Paramedic) with years of experience and some are former military members, as well as locals you may more than likely see out on the beach. Each one of our team members has a background check and medical emergency action planning for our camps.
[ What’s Included ]
For the Spring and Fall semester co-op, students will receive their own Mystery Ranch go-bag filled with survival and medical equipment. Each student will have opportunities throughout the course to prove knowledge of skill sets to earn new gear for their own survival pack.
[ What to Bring ]
Additional items for students to bring during any program include but are not limited to: a beach towel, sun screen/block, a hat, sunglasses, water bottle, closed toe shoes, a telephone (if applicable), and a personal bag to keep his/her belongings in. Anything else that the student may need is perfectly acceptable to bring. We will have a secure place for all personal items.
[ Cancellations and Refunds ]
We recognize the difficulties of planning in advance yielding to Mother Nature and other life challenges that may arise. In case of severe weather conditions or a state of emergency, cancelation of a class will be announced as soon as possible. A make up day may be permitted for a canceled class if possible. Leave of absence due to sickness, vacation, or any other personal reason will not allot in a refund but a potential credit if possible. No refunds as there is a high demand for our programs.
[ Legal ]
Adventure Academy, LLC, is registered with the Florida Department of State, Devision of Corporations (Sunbiz) to be eligible of providing services on Florida State Property. Adventure Academy, LLC, is fully licensed and insured. Adventure Academy, LLC, has an Emergency Action Plan and Environmental Plan for each location for our programs.
[ Pricing and Payments ]
Our programs are first come, first serve basis, as there are limited openings per program class. Payments may be completed online or over the phone by credit and/or debit cards.​
